Quality bikes and great friendly service, recommended! Hired a Triumph Tiger 800 XRx from Phil - he's very organised, very helpful, good range of bikes and they are all perfectly maintained in great condition with luggage bags and top-boxes etc. Friendly terrific guy, I can heartily recommend him, even mentioned him in the video I made of the ride at https://youtu.be/tAzzhTBweKs If you are hiring a motorbike in Tasmania, be sure to call or email him, very worthwhile.

I would highly recommend Tasmanian Motorcycle Tours and Rentals to anyone who is thinking of hiring bikes and doing a tour around Tasmania including accommodation.I gave Phil a rough idea of the places I wanted to see and how many days I wanted to tour.Phil got back to me very quickly with an Itinerary that suited us.(We didn’t have to follow it exactly, it was only a guide). We decided to do 9 days, 8 nights.Monday March 5 – Tuesday March 16, 2021.The tour included airport pick up and drop off. (Phil was waiting at the airport for us). Airport to Phil's place is approx 20 mins. The bikes were great, very comfortable. (Triumph Tiger 800 XRx) 1 x normal, 1 x low seat.Fuel range approx. 400kms.Phil had every place of interest logged into favourites on the Garmin Sat Nav. (Easy to use)He also supplied maps with all places listed for every day. (This went in the tank bag)He had all our accommodation booked.(We were happy with all accommodation he booked for us).The pricing is very reasonable. The weather was brilliant and we only had 1 rainy day.5 stars.

Bruny Island Motorbike Tour I was keen to go for a motorbike cruise with my partner down to Bruny Island and 'Tasmanian Motorcycle Tours and Rentals' provided a near new motorbike that was perfect for the Tassie roads.

Phil gave some great tips for our loop which saved us time and ensured we made the most of our day on the bike.

We were also provided jackets, gloves and near new helmets at no extra charge.

I will definitely utilise TMTR next time and try and squeeze in a few more days to tour more of Tasmania.

Had a great time on a very well maintained and presented bike. From the ease of collection and drop of and Phil just not being able to do enough for you.
Great rates and great times are a certainty when you book with TMTR.

  • Myself and a mate just completed a 6 day 5 night self guided tour through Phil. As a first time renting bikes and riding Tasmania. the trip was perfectly for the riding time each day aswell as good accommodation at each stop.
We had the triumph tigers which were a great bike for any level of rider. We would highly recommend tmtr to anyone who is coming down to Tasmania and wants to ride bikes around.

Fantastic service and excellent bikes to choose from. They go above and beyond taking care of their customers. Only had 9 days on the bike, just over 2,000ks, and can't wait to get back down there from Noosa for a longer stay. Absolutely brilliant.

Just completed 8 days in Tasmania, 6 days (would have been longer but had to get back to work) on one of TMTR’s 1200 GS’s. I arranged it all at short notice (4 days) and Phil couldn’t have been more responsive and helpful to make it happen from his end. The bikes are well maintained and clean with plenty of quality luggage options. Being collected and dropped off again was a really nice personal touch. I have ridden all over the British Isles and Europe, also Vietnam and India, and can’t say enough good things about Tasmania as an easy but top quality biking destination right in our own backyard. Culinary delights await around every corner, amazing views, and top quality biking roads from tight twisties to long sweeping bends. We loved it. Just do it.
